Preheat a griddle over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, Portion the beef and roll it into a loose ball. Thinly slice the onion.

Cook the burgers

oil the griddle. PLace a pile of onions, topped with one ball of beef. Use a burger press to smash the burger into the onion.

Cook until the top of the burgers are almost completely brown. Then flip them and top with a slice of cheese.

cook for another minute or two. Then, stack two patties and place them on a bun with your favorite toppings.
